Our final post for our charity walker Stephen as he reaches the halfway point in Knighton and the excellent @silversherpatours.uk take over tomorrow 🎒🚙

Another set of fabulous photos 📸 with some excerpts from Stephen's blog and a review of our service - thank you, Stephen 😊'As advertised in my guide book, it was a pleasant walk and it was hilly, with three notable hills and descents....On Bradnor Hill, we passed Kington Golf Club on Bradnor Hill and the club is one of England's highest, rising to 1284 ft (390m). After Bradnor Hill, Offa's Dyke made a really obvious appearance.' 'I really liked this sign, but I don't recall it from my days of studying the Highway Code.' I have to say that I think today was my hardest day so far and due to a combination of factors: multiple steepish and long hills, the heat, and a little fatigue.  Having said all that, the day has ended well with me sitting in the bar at a table with a beer, some nuts, and my laptop.

I popped into St Marys Church in Newchurch as the sign said it was open and one could get juices and coffees.  It was very much help yourself, so I had a lovely cordial and popped a pound in the box

My guidebook tells me that the ponies I saw yesterday are Moorland ponies, so I thought I would show you another mare and her foal.  They were very relaxed, and the foal had just stopped feeding from the mare.

Back to normal human stuff.  I came across this wonderful medieval church of Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern (St Michaels of the Fiery Meteor).

Much of todays walk was through the valley of the River Trothy.  I knew where it was, but it was difficult to see it as it was very shy hiding behind bushes and other vegetation.  It made a few appearances much further upstream, and here it is in all its glory near Llantillo Mill.

Stephen was lucky to have another fine day for his walk 🌞 Hopefully the same for tomorrows trip to Pandy 😊

Our charity walker Kim completed her walk yesterday and has shared these fabulous photos and a wonderful review, too 😊

'We made it back to our last stop in Knighton around 4 pm today and were just saying how this last was our favourite leg of an overall fantastic walk—and your excellent transfer service made all the difference. It was enormous peace of mind to know that our luggage was in good hands and would be reliably waiting for us at the end of a long day; throughout, we were really impressed with your timely and helpful communication. We appreciated the chance to name a charity of our choice to contribute to—it meant the walk felt like a tribute to my mother, who recently passed, being able to make a favourite animal rescue as recipient. Offa’s Dyke route itself was so lush and scenic, we had fantasies of retiring here, and the challenge of the 90 or so miles with not inconsiderable elevation made us feel quite accomplished at end, for teachers with sedentary jobs!'#baggagetransfer🎒 #offasdykepath👣 #charitywalks #completed #customerfeedback #customerphotos 📸 ... What our customers have to say …

‘Thanks so much for your great service which we used on our walk from Chepstow to Hay-on-Wye.  It rained, it poured and we had a great time.  Our bags were always waiting for us (with dry clothes) at the end of the day’s journey.  We heartily recommend your service to others.’

Mark & Barbara Rustine

‘I’m so grateful to Tracy for her excellent and faultless service during my walk along the Wye Valley.  It was my first walking holiday, and I couldn’t have done it without Walklite.  Due to my walking schedule, I never actually met Tracy in person, so she felt like a magic fairy spiriting my suitcase from place to place… it was always where it needed to be when it needed to be there.  Fantastic!’

 Danelle Nightingale

‘Thank you for a superb and seamless service. It was great to see our luggage ahead of us when we arrived at our accommodation.’

Oksana Newman & Terry Cummings
